About
I have been teaching piano for about twenty years, both in-person and remotely (zoom). I believe learning piano should be fun and easy, and tailor my lessons to guide each student individually according to his/her learning style and music preferences. Beginners benefit from learning strong foundational skills, and my students can advance as far as they'd like, gaining musical and technical skills to an advanced level. My students come from Asia, Africa, North and South America, and Europe, and I look forward to meeting you!
Teaching Style
I am a clear and patient instructor, with an emphasis on accuracy and strong foundational skills, and balance the above with a non-helicopter approach which fosters musical independence and fast learning.
I teach sight reading, classical and pop repertoire, and encourage students to explore chords and accompaniment if it interests them, so they can play any music they enjoy.
I offer both one-to-one and group lessons.
