Florencia Travaglianti
About
Florencia Travaglianti is an award-winning Argentine pianist and dedicated pedagogue who blends artistic excellence with a holistic approach to piano technique. She graduated with highest honors (GPA: 9.2/10) with a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance from the National University of the Arts (UNA) in Buenos Aires.
As an active concert pianist, Florencia has performed with prominent orchestras. She was selected via national public competition as a piano intern with the National Youth Orchestra "Libertador San Martín," and has performed as a soloist with the University of Lanús Symphony, the Academic Orchestra of the Teatro del Libertador (Córdoba), and the "Música Concertante" Orchestra of Buenos Aires. Her artistic journey has led her to prestigious stages across Argentina—such as the Palacio Libertad (Salón de Honor), Teatro Libertador (Córdoba), and Teatro Independencia (Mendoza)—as well as international recitals in Germany and Luxembourg. She is a top prize winner at several national and international competitions, including first prizes at the Mozarteum Argentino (Santa Fe) and the International Interpretation Competition in Paraguay. Recently, she was awarded the second prize at the prestigious "Dr. Tilo Rajneri" National Classical Music Competition, which features her upcoming engagement as a soloist with the renowned Patagonia Cultural Foundation Symphony Orchestra (FCP) during the 2026 season. She has also been a recipient of prestigious scholarships from the Mozarteum Argentino, the National Endowment for the Arts (FNA), and the Carmen Piazzini Foundation (Germany).
As an educator, Florencia serves as a Chamber Music Teaching Intern (Adscripción de Cátedra) at the National University of the Arts (UNA) within Prof. Raúl Becerra's chamber music department. In this selective academic internship, she collaborates in training university-level chamber ensembles. Driven by a passion for healthy, effortless music-making, she has spent over a decade specializing in the Conscious System for Movement Technique (Fedora Aberastury method) under Ana Cigarrán. By integrating this somatic method with the legendary Scaramuzza Piano Technique (which she studied under Cristina Filoso), Florencia offers her students a unique, injury-preventive, and highly expressive approach to the keyboard.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is deeply patient, personalized, and centered on the essential relationship between the body and the sound. I believe that piano playing should never feel painful, tense, or stressful. Instead, a beautiful tone is born when the body is completely free, aligned, and acting as a natural, healthy extension of your musical expression.
No matter your level, whether you are an absolute beginner reading your very first notes, an intermediate student struggling with keyboard tension, or an advanced pianist preparing for exams, you are welcome here. I pride myself on creating a deeply patient environment where you can learn at your own pace without any pressure.
In my lessons, I blend rigorous classical piano technique with deep physical awareness, showing you how physical ease directly shapes the quality of your sound. To achieve this, I combine two powerful pillars:
In my lessons, I blend rigorous classical piano technique with deep physical awareness, showing you how physical ease directly shapes the quality of your sound. To achieve this, I combine two powerful pillars:
-
The Legendary Scaramuzza Technique: Having studied under Cristina Filoso ( a direct disciple of the legendary maestro Vincenzo Scaramuzza). I teach this world-renowned Argentine method to help you develop a rich, projecting tone, brilliant finger independence, and ultimate technical efficiency.
-
Somatic Movement (The Aberastury Method): With over ten years of specialization in the Conscious System for Movement, I guide students in releasing physical blocks, finding ergonomic alignment, and preventing repetitive strain injuries (RSI) by understanding how our bodies produce sound.
I also believe that you learn best when you play the music you love. That is why I absolutely love receiving repertoire suggestions from my students! We will work as a team to co-create your musical path, blending your favorite pieces and musical interests with the essential physical and technical tools to bring them to life with confidence, beautiful sonority, and ease.
