About
Welcome to my page!
I'm a pianist, composer, and music producer from the US with more than 10 years of teaching experience in piano, music theory, and songwriting. I have a deep passion for music education. I enjoy watching my students progress and seeing the joy that comes with learning to make music! I am a patient, kind, and fun teacher who guides and motivates my students to reach their full musical potential. I love what I do and equally love sharing my passion for music with my students!
Teaching Style
♫ With me, students can learn:
» To play your favorite songs on the piano
» To read sheet music
» Music theory (scales, chords, melodies and advanced theory)
» To create, compose, and improvise on the piano
» To write your own original songs!
For beginner pianists, I can help you build a strong foundation in note reading, rhythm, technique, music theory and musical expression all while making the learning process enjoyable! Together we'll learn to play songs you love, develop confidence at the keyboard, and build the skills needed to become an independent musician.
For experienced pianists, we can focus on technique, repertoire, musicality, sight-reading, improvisation, and more advanced pieces. As a composer and producer, I also help students develop songwriting, composition, and arranging skills!
Curriculum
I primarily use the Faber Piano Adventures series, including Adult Piano Adventures and Piano Adventures. I also supplement with sheet music, sight-reading and rhythm exercises, music theory materials, lead sheets, chord charts, and repertoire chosen specifically for the student's interests.
Credentials & Affiliations
I have extensive experience in the music industry as I worked for the Recording Academy, which is the organization that produces the GRAMMY awards.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Technology and Composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and have completed a music post-production course at Abbey Road Institute.
