Bethanni Grecynski
About
In 2011 Bethanni achieved a BM in Trombone Performance from the University of Michigan, where she studied classical, jazz, and music education. She has 15 years experience as a teacher, bandleader, studio musician & performing artist. Her teaching experience is extensive, including private lessons, group classes, and all ages. She has taught both as the leader of her own private studio (2011-current) and has served as faculty for a range of institutions such as the United Learning Academy (2017-19) and the Community Music School (2017-19). She composed and performed the horn lines on Vulfpeck's "Aunt Leslie" (2017). Her previous band, Ornamatik (2012-2019), toured from MI to NY and released two albums: "Ornamatik" (2014) and "Tickles Brains & Feet" (2019). She now has a Balkan Brass Band, RHYTA (2014-current), which is regularly booked for parties, parades, special events, shows, and festivals.
Teaching Style
Creative lessons tailored to each student's needs and goals. Emphasis is on scales, tuning, tone, music theory and interval training, improvisation, listening and learning by ear.
