Julian Vanrell
About
I am a voice teacher, musical theatre performer, vocal arranger, and vocal director based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since 2020, I have been teaching singers of different ages and experience levels, helping them develop healthy vocal technique, confidence, musicality, and artistic expression through personalized voice lessons.
I am a graduate of the New York Vocal Coaching Voice Teacher Training program, where I received specialized training in voice teaching and vocal technique. I also graduated as a Sound and Lighting Technician from the Instituto de Formación en Oficios del Espectáculo (IFOE) in Argentina, giving me additional training in sound, lighting, recording, and live performance environments.
My professional experience includes performing in musical theatre productions in Buenos Aires. In 2023, I worked as an actor in Mansión Maniática at Multiescena CPM in Buenos Aires. From 2019 to 2020, I was part of the regular cast of Buenos Aires Players, an English-language theatre company, performing in productions including The Prenders, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Cat in Boots. Alongside my work as a performer, I have worked as a vocal director for musical theatre workshops since 2019 and regularly create vocal arrangements for stage productions.
As a voice teacher, I have taught at multiple vocal studios in Quilmes and Berazategui, working with students with different levels, goals, and musical backgrounds. In 2023, I founded GaGa Clases de Canto, my own singing school, where I currently teach private voice lessons focused on vocal technique, vocal health, interpretation, musicality, and artistic expression.
As a musical theatre performer and coach, I also help students develop song interpretation, storytelling, emotional connection, and stage presence. My background in both performance and technical production allows me to approach singing from both an artistic and practical perspective, including preparation for recording and live performance.
Lessons are available online in Spanish and English for adults of all ages. Whether your goal is to sing for enjoyment, prepare for an audition, improve your technique, record, or become a more confident performer, I will help you build a healthy, sustainable, and expressive voice.
Teaching Style
Every singer is unique, and I believe vocal training should reflect that.
My teaching is highly personalized and built around each student's voice, goals, experience, and artistic interests. Whether you are a complete beginner, an experienced singer, a musical theatre performer, a songwriter, or someone who simply loves to sing, lessons are designed to meet you where you are and help you grow from there.
My goal is not only to help students build a healthy and reliable technique, but also to develop their artistic identity. I encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration, helping students discover new possibilities in their voice while maintaining vocal freedom and efficiency.
I strive to create a supportive and judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable exploring their voice. Singing can be deeply personal, and I believe real growth happens when technical development is combined with enjoyment, confidence, and self-expression.
Whether your focus is technique, performance, artistry, or simply the joy of singing, lessons are designed to support your individual journey and help you become a more confident, expressive, and versatile vocalist.
Curriculum
Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, experience level, and vocal needs. Rather than following a fixed curriculum, I design a personalized approach for every singer, focusing on the areas that will have the greatest impact on their development.
Lessons combine technical exercises with repertoire work, allowing students to immediately apply new concepts to songs they enjoy singing.
Students are encouraged to bring their own repertoire, although I am happy to suggest material when needed. For musical theatre performers, lessons may also include character work, text analysis, and audition coaching.
Lessons are available in Spanish and English.
