About

I have over 20 years as a music educator and I aim to serve on all levels by striving to understand the individual goals and unique learning styles of each student.

I teach voice, piano, performance, songwriting, Ableton Live and artist development as well as my trademarked Voga which is a fusion of yoga principles and vocal pedagogy.

During my career, I have worked with children and adults of all ages in both classrooms and in private lessons. In addition I have worked at record labels, recording studios, served on boards for songwriting organizations & booked music venues in New York City.

I have a wide range of experience to offer students and give them the tools they need to succeed at all levels from beginner to pro — whether you're a child just starting out, an adult coming to music for the first time, or a working artist ready to take your craft to the next level.

I look forward to meeting you and making music together

Teaching Style

I believe every student learns differently and I tailor my approach to meet each person where they are. My teaching blends technical foundation with creative exploration — always in a warm, encouraging environment. I draw on vocal pedagogy, music theory, somatic awareness, and real-world experience as a working musician to give students tools that are both practical and transformational.

A key part of my philosophy is meeting students in the music they love. I customize repertoire choices to reflect the styles and songs each student wants to learn — because when you're working on music that excites you, progress happens faster and the joy of playing stays alive. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, my goal is to help you find your authentic voice and love the process of making music.

Curriculum

Piano: I primarily work with the Alfred series or Keith Snell method books alongside repertoire chosen collaboratively with students and families.

Songwriting: Fully personalized — I often reference Pat Pattison's songwriting texts as a foundation while tailoring the curriculum to each student's goals and style.

Voice: A bespoke combination of breathwork, technical vocal exercises, and repertoire — no single method book, as I build each student's program around their unique voice and goals.
