About
I am currently completing a Master’s degree in Cello Performance at the Royal Academy of Music in London, within a highly demanding artistic and pedagogical environment, while also maintaining an active performance career in chamber music projects and professional contexts outside the academic setting. Previously, I studied for nine years at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid, where I trained with Jens Peter Maintz and Ivan Monighetti, within one of Europe’s most prestigious musical institutions.
For me, teaching is a way of bringing into pedagogy many of the ideas I apply in concert preparation: the search for a personal sound, efficiency in practice, and physical awareness in relation to the instrument. I see teaching as a space for reflection and mutual learning, both for the student and the teacher.
I also have previous teaching experience, having given masterclasses at the Arturo Soria Professional Music Conservatory (Madrid, Spain) over several consecutive years.
Teaching Style
Lessons are fully tailored to each student’s individual needs, level, and goals.
Depending on the moment, we may focus on a wide range of areas: from technical development on the instrument (sound production, bow control, left hand technique, coordination, and efficient practice methods), to repertoire preparation, musical interpretation, or specific training for auditions and entrance exams.
Although lessons are open to students of different levels, they are primarily aimed at intermediate to advanced players, as well as those preparing for conservatoire studies or professional contexts.
