About

Hello, and welcome! My name is Andrew Krupski. I have a Bachelor of Science and a Master's in Music Education from the University of South Florida and Texas Tech University respectively. I taught public school in both Florida and Texas for 13 years. I have taught private lessons, small groups, and large ensembles. Working with individual students is a great opportunity to foster growth on a measurable scale, and gives a unique opportunity for a teacher to really discover why each student enjoys their musical journey.

As a teacher, my ensembles consistently received top ratings at state assessments, set school records, and sent students to regional and state competitions/selection processes. My jazz band took 3rd place at the Longhorn Jazz Festival at the University of Texas, and my marching band qualified for area competition for the second time in the school's 86 year history.

Teaching Style

I believe in meeting each student where they are at. Each student has individual goals, purposes for study, and motivations behind their musical pursuit. As the teacher, it is my job to understand those, and to create a plan that is most beneficial for those goals, while providing expertise from a well-credentialed professional.

Curriculum

Student musical selection and methods can vary from student to student. I do have trusted texts in certain situations, however, as your teacher, I will constantly evaluate whether or not the selected pieces/methods are best aligned with your learning style, and will adjust accordingly to ensure your lessons are the most beneficial for YOU.
