Jignesh Sheth
About
NAMASTE! I’m Jignesh, founder of The Beat Music Classes in Ahmedabad.
WHAT I TEACH:
I specialize in Tabla, Guitar, Indian flute, violin Keyboard with 16+ years of teaching experience. Whether you're 8 or 80, I believe "It's never too late to do anything new when it comes to music."
HOW I TEACH:
My teaching approach combines the richness of Indian Classical music with the techniques of Western music, giving students a well-rounded musical foundation.
I blend the traditional Guru-Shishya Parampara with modern, structured teaching methods that make learning enjoyable, practical, and effective. Every lesson focuses on building strong fundamentals, including correct posture, finger exercises, scales, rhythm, melody, tone, and musical expression.
I believe that regular, consistent practice is more important than long practice sessions, so I create practice routines that fit comfortably into each student's daily schedule.
From the very beginning, students learn the fundamentals of their chosen instrument while also playing their favorite songs and tunes. As they progress, they develop improvisation skills, musical creativity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of music—not just how to play notes, but how to play with feeling.
WHO I TEACH:
I welcome students of all ages and backgrounds, including:
- Complete beginners who are starting from zero.
- Children who want to develop a strong musical foundation in a fun and engaging way.
- Working professionals who wish to pursue music as a hobby or lifelong passion.
- Music enthusiasts looking to begin their musical journey or take their skills to the next level.
Whether your goal is to learn for enjoyment, perform confidently, appear for music exams, or deepen your understanding of music, I tailor lessons to suit your learning style and goals.
My teaching covers General Music, Western Music, and Indian Classical Music, providing students with a balanced and comprehensive musical education.

Teaching Style
My teaching style is structured, encouraging, and joyful. I combine the timeless wisdom of the Guru-Shishya Parampara with modern, practical teaching methods that fit today's busy lifestyles.
For beginners, I break down complex rhythms, melodies, and techniques into simple, easy-to-follow steps. We focus on practice that sticks—short, effective daily practice routines that build confidence and lasting progress. Instead of overwhelming students with theory, I teach musical concepts through playing, listening, and hands-on experience.
For intermediate and advanced students, I focus on refining technique, improving musical expression, developing improvisation skills, and preparing for performances. Every lesson includes detailed, constructive feedback to help you continue improving.
I teach with patience, positivity, and personal attention. Whether you're 7 or 70 years old, I adapt each lesson to your age, learning style, and musical goals.
Students can explore General Music, Western Music, and Indian Classical Music, while learning their favorite songs, Bollywood melodies, devotional music, film tunes, and classical bandishes. My goal is to build a strong musical foundation while keeping every lesson enjoyable and inspiring.
My motto: "The journey is more beautiful than the destination." Every mistake is simply another step toward becoming a better musician.
Curriculum
My Method: The 4 Pillars of Practical Music Learning
My teaching is built on four simple principles that help students learn efficiently, enjoy the process, and make steady progress.
1. Strong Foundations First
Every great musician starts with the basics. We begin with correct posture, hand position, finger technique, and sound production to build good habits from the very first lesson. I use demonstrations, mirror techniques, and step-by-step guidance so you can clearly see and understand every movement.
2. Layer-by-Layer Learning
Complex rhythms, melodies, and techniques are broken down into simple, manageable steps. You'll start playing music from your very first lesson instead of spending months only learning theory. Theory is taught naturally through practical application.
3. Practice That Fits Real Life
Consistent practice is the key to improvement. I create personalized daily practice plans of 15–45 minutes, designed to fit your schedule while helping you progress steadily without feeling overwhelmed.
4. Perform from Week One
Every lesson ends with you playing something you've learned. We build your repertoire from the beginning with exercises, melodies, favourite songs, Bollywood tunes, devotional music, or classical pieces—keeping you motivated and confident throughout your musical journey.
Lessons Tailored to Your Goals
Whether you're learning as a hobby, preparing for exams, performing on stage, or exploring music for personal or spiritual growth, every lesson is customized to your goals, pace, and interests.
Lessons are available in English, Hindi, and Gujarati, and I welcome students aged 7 and above.
My goal is simple: Build a strong musical foundation while making every lesson enjoyable, practical, and inspiring.
