Samantha Stott
About
Hi! I'm Sam, and I've been teaching music for over six years. I hold both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music. Most recently, I spent three years teaching at School of Rock in New York City, where I worked with students of all ages and experience levels.
I teach voice, guitar, piano, music theory, and songwriting. My background includes classical, contemporary, and rock music, and I enjoy helping each student discover their own unique voice and musical style.
Whether you're just beginning your musical journey, looking to build confidence, or working toward a specific goal such as an audition or performance, I tailor each lesson to meet your individual needs. My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and focused on helping students develop strong technique while making music enjoyable and rewarding.
I look forward to helping you grow as a musician and achieve your musical goals!
Teaching Style
love working with students of all ages who are excited to learn and grow as musicians.
My teaching style is song-based and centered around the music you enjoy. Using songs as the foundation, we explore technique, music theory, and musical fundamentals in a way that feels engaging and practical rather than overly abstract. This approach helps students build real skills while staying motivated and having fun.
I also teach songwriting, drawing on over 10 years of experience writing my own music. I enjoy helping students develop their creativity, find their own voice, and bring their musical ideas to life.
