About
I'll help you develop a singing voice you love in just 3 months. Whether your goal is performing, songwriting, self-expression, or simply singing for joy, you'll build the technique, confidence and freedom to sing with a healthy voice that's authentically yours.
I've been devoted to the voice since the age of eight, singing daily at Salisbury Cathedral. Today, I'm a professional singer, songwriter and vocal coach with over 15 years' experience in the UK music industry. I trained in Jazz at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama and performed internationally with the all-female beatbox group The Boxettes, toured with Submotion Orchestra, sung backing vocals for Pulp, and recorded for Infinite Samples, film and television.
Like many singers, my own journey wasn't straightforward. I experienced a difficult vocal break, vocal tension, stage fright and a relentless inner critic. Determined to find vocal freedom, I spent years studying with some of the UK's leading vocal coaches, discovering the techniques and body-based (somatic) approaches that finally unlocked my own voice.
Today, I bring those lessons together in my teaching. Alongside evidence-based vocal technique, I help students release unnecessary tension, build healthy vocal habits and develop greater confidence, freedom and authentic expression. Every lesson is tailored to your individual voice, because I believe there is no one "perfect" sound- only your voice at its healthiest and most expressive.
I believe everyone can learn to sing. My goal isn't to help you sound like someone else—it's to help you discover the confidence, freedom and skills to sing with a voice that feels genuinely your own.
Teaching Style
My lessons are supportive, practical and follows a step by step process, whilst tailoring around each individual student's needs. Every student has different goals, so together we'll create a personalised learning plan that helps you progress steadily while enjoying the process.
Rather than teaching isolated exercises, I combine vocal technique with real songs from the very beginning. You'll learn how your voice works, develop healthy habits, improve your tone, range and control, and build confidence every week.
Lessons may include:
• Breath support and vocal coordination
• Resonance and tone development
• Releasing tension to create more power and greater vocal freedom.
• Expanding range safely
• Mixing registers and smoothing vocal breaks
• Pitch and ear training
• Performance confidence and expression
• Microphone technique and recording advice (if relevant)
Above all, I want lessons to be enjoyable, encouraging and inspiring. My aim is to help you sing with greater ease, confidence and freedom.
Curriculum
I recommend my 12-week Vocal Freedom Programme, designed to help you build strong vocal foundations, develop healthy technique and grow in confidence through consistent, personalised coaching. Each lesson builds on the last, allowing you to make meaningful progress and develop lasting vocal habits.
A typical lesson includes:
• Vocal check-in and goal review
• Physical and vocal warm-up
• Technique exercises tailored to your voice
• Applying those techniques to songs you enjoy singing
• Personalised practice plan for the week ahead
Whether you're a complete beginner or an experienced singer, every lesson is tailored to your individual goals. You're welcome to bring songs you love, or I can recommend repertoire that suits your voice, level and musical style.
No textbooks are required. I provide personalised exercises, warm-ups and practice materials after each lesson, so you'll always know exactly what to practise between sessions.
