Sain Srirangam

I am an experienced piano teacher and musician with a strong background in both performance and music education. I completed Grade 8 Piano through Trinity Guildhall College in 2017. I also served as an Orchestra and Ensemble Coordinator from 2016–2017 in my high school Maru-A-Pula in Botswana, where I provided piano accompaniment for instrumentalists, including flautists and violinists, and supported various school performances.

My performance experience began during my teenage years, when I regularly participated in local music events and school performances in my hometown. I performed at Sargam in 2018 and was also involved with Kala-Hari Beats Band from 2014–2025, gaining experience performing with other musicians in ensemble settings.

In 2025, I worked with the International School of Music Australia, teaching group music lessons to children aged 4–7 as well as individual piano and music lessons to children and adults. I underwent extensive piano teacher training in Sydney, NSW, Australia in January 2025 where we were taught how to musically train the minds of very young children. My teaching focused on developing students' understanding of scales, pieces, rhythm, time signatures and key signatures, while also helping students prepare for AMEB examinations. I tailor lessons to each student's age, experience and musical goals, with an emphasis on building confidence, developing strong musical foundations and making learning enjoyable.

For beginners, I focus on building strong foundations in posture, hand position, rhythm, note reading, scales and basic music theory while introducing pieces progressively. For more experienced students, I work on technique, musical expression, performance skills and preparation for graded examinations.

For younger students, I use engaging activities, demonstrations and age-appropriate exercises to keep lessons interactive and enjoyable. With adult students, I take a more flexible approach and can tailor lessons towards specific interests, whether that is learning classical repertoire, improving technique, understanding music theory or simply developing piano skills as a hobby.

I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions and progressing at their own pace. My goal is not only to teach students how to play pieces, but to help them develop confidence, musical understanding and skills they can continue to build on independently.
