About

I am a British/Georgian pianist and a graduate of the Royal College of Music, currently pursuing a Master's degree. I have performed and competed extensively both nationally and internationally, most notably as a Keyboard Category Finalist in BBC Young Musician 2018. Recent highlights include being a Finalist and Honourable Mention recipient at the 2025 Wideman International Piano Competition, winning the 2025 Concerto Competition at Indiana University (performing Shostakovich Piano Concerto No. 1 with the IU University Orchestra), and taking 2nd Prize at the 2025 Radda Rise International Piano Competition. Other awards include the Bronze Medal at the 2023 Appelbe Piano Prize, 3rd Prize at the 2022 Royal College of Music Concerto Competition, and representing Chetham's School of Music in the 2020 Beethoven Society Intercollegiate Competition.

I bring six years of teaching experience working with students of all ages and abilities, from complete beginners to conservatoire level, in both individual and group settings. I am currently an Associate Instructor in Higher Education, and my students have consistently achieved top marks in their ABRSM examinations.

I am currently accepting online students of all ages and abilities, and would love to help you on your musical journey.

Teaching Style

My approach to teaching is rooted in flexibility and a genuine understanding of each student as an individual. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, I take the time to understand your goals, learning style, and current level before shaping lessons around what will help you progress most effectively. This might mean a strong focus on technique and repertoire for a student preparing for exams or conservatoire auditions, or a more relaxed, exploratory approach for someone learning purely for enjoyment. I offer lessons of 30, 45, or 60 minutes, so you can choose the format that best suits your schedule and goals.

I believe that strong technical foundations and genuine musical enjoyment go hand in hand, and I aim to nurture both in every lesson. For students working toward exams such as ABRSM, I provide structured, focused preparation covering technique, repertoire, sight-reading, and aural skills, drawing on my own experience helping students achieve top marks. For those seeking more occasional guidance or a less formal path, I'm just as happy to tailor lessons around specific pieces, general skill-building, or simply reigniting a love of playing. Whatever your level or ambitions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Curriculum

Able to prepare students for exams (ABRSM/Trinity/other).

Also happy to meet students where they are with current repertoire and/or suggest new materials.
