About
I am a Bachelor of Music in Music Education graduate from Santa Isabel College-Manila, majoring in Classical Voice with a minor in Piano and elective studies in Cello and Violin. I am a classically trained vocalist and a multi-instrumentalist with more than 12 years of experience teaching Voice, Piano, and beginner Strings to students from young children to adults.My teaching journey includes working with music schools, academic institutions, toddlers, and students with special needs. I have experience creating personalized lessons that develop musical skills, confidence, creativity, and a lifelong appreciation for music.With my background in Montessori education, early childhood training, and TEFL/TESOL certification, I incorporate student-centered strategies that make learning engaging, supportive, and suitable for different learning styles and ages.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and personalized. I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust my approach based on their goals, age, personality, and skill level.
For beginners, I focus on building strong foundations in technique, rhythm, ear training, music reading, and confidence. For more advanced students, I help develop musical expression, performance skills, and deeper understanding of style and interpretation.
I create a positive and nurturing environment where students feel comfortable exploring their creativity while developing discipline and love for music. My experience with toddlers and special needs students also allows me to use creative play and music-based activities to support learning and emotional development.
Curriculum
My lessons combine traditional music education methods with creative and modern approaches. I use structured exercises, demonstrations, listening activities, technique development, and repertoire suited to each student's level and goals.
For Voice lessons, I teach breathing techniques, vocal control, classical foundations, musical theatre, Broadway, and pop styles.
For Piano lessons, I focus on proper technique, music reading, theory, rhythm, and expressive playing. For beginner Violin and Cello students, I introduce proper posture, basic technique, and musical foundations.
Recommended materials depend on the student's age and level. I select books, exercises, and songs that match the learner’s goals while keeping lessons enjoyable and motivating.
