Mortaz Music

I’m a professional guitarist, composer, songwriter, and music producer with more than 15 years of experience in music and teaching. I began my musical journey in 2009 with classical and flamenco guitar and have since developed a professional career combining performance, composition, music production, and teaching. As an instructor, I work with students of different levels and adapt my lessons to their individual goals, musical interests, and experience.

My teaching career began in 2011 at Avaye Mehr Music School in Gisha, Tehran, under the direction of Fariba Davoodi, where I taught guitar. Since 2018, I have also been teaching at Nasim Saba Music School in Ekbatan, Tehran. Throughout my teaching career, I have organized and participated in group performances for students in different educational settings, as well as performing live in various musical and educational environments throughout Tehran.

Alongside my teaching career, I have continued my professional work as a guitarist, composer, songwriter, and music producer. I created my first original piece of music in 2011 and have continued developing original musical projects and recordings. My formal education includes studying Architecture Engineering at Islamic Azad University, Parand Branch, beginning in 2009 and continuing through the final semester of the program. My musical training and professional experience have given me a broad perspective that I bring into my lessons, helping students develop not only their technique but also their musicality, creativity, and independence.

My teaching approach is practical and personalized. In guitar lessons, we can work on technique, rhythm, timing, chords, scales, improvisation, ear training, repertoire, and music theory. For students interested in composition and production, I can also help with songwriting, arranging, harmony, sound selection, recording, and developing an idea into a finished piece. I encourage students to record their playing, listen critically, identify specific problems, and practice with a clear purpose rather than simply repeating exercises.

My teaching approach begins with developing the essential foundations of musicianship, regardless of the student’s preferred musical style. I focus first on ear training, finger strength and technique, and a strong sense of rhythm and timing.

From there, I use short, focused musical licks and exercises to help students develop practical skills. I also create personalized exercises for each student based on their individual weaknesses and goals, rather than giving every student the same routine.

As students progress, I can create customized backing tracks for them to practice with and write personalized notation or exercises to support their development. My goal is to help each student become a more confident, independent, and musical guitarist by working directly on the areas they need to improve.
