Filippo Daga
About
I'm a professional trumpet player with extensive orchestral experience in Italy and abroad. I graduated from the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, where I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
Throughout my career, I have played as Principal Trumpet with orchestras such as Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Arena di Verona and Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. From 2024 to 2026, after a successful audition, I also held the Principal Trumpet position at Ruse State Opera in Bulgaria.
My passion for music has led me to explore different fields beyond classical music. Alongside my orchestral work, I have performed in pop music concerts, worked as a remote session musician and as teacher at Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.
Teaching Style
My teaching style is based on two main principles.
The first is my belief that good technique should always serve the freedom to develop your own musical taste and personality.
The second comes from my professional experience in an ever-evolving music industry, where limited time often requires practical and efficient solutions.
The combination of these two principles is why I like to focus on strong fundamentals while also looking for the most practical way to understand and solve a technical problem. I believe that there is rarely one single solution that works for everyone, so I try to adapt the approach to each student and to the specific problem we are working on.
