About

I am a professionally trained classical violinist with extensive academic, teaching, and performance experience in the United States and Brazil. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an Instrumental Emphasis in Violin Performance from Pensacola Christian College, where I studied from 2017 to 2021 with scholarship support. I then earned a Master of Music in Violin Performance from The Pennsylvania State University, where I studied from 2022 to 2024. During my master’s degree, I received scholarship support and served as a Teaching Assistant in violin and music theory.

I have been teaching private music lessons since 2019, working with beginner and intermediate students in violin, viola, and cello. During my time at The Pennsylvania State University, I served as a Violin Studio Teaching Assistant, providing private lessons to undergraduate students of various skill levels. I also served as a Music Theory Teaching Assistant, providing office hours and additional academic support, grading assignments and assessments, and providing detailed feedback to students.

My professional performance experience includes orchestral, chamber music, solo, and festival performances in the United States, Brazil, and Argentina. From 2022 to 2024, I served as concertmaster of the Pennsylvania State University Philharmonic Orchestra and the Pennsylvania State University Chamber Orchestra. I also performed with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and Pennsylvania Chamber Orchestra, and I currently perform with the Orquestra Bachiana Jovem SESI-SP in Brazil.

My festival experience includes the Festival de Inverno de Campos do Jordão in Brazil in 2025 and 2026, SphinxConnect Ignite in Michigan, Penn’s Woods Music Festival, Miami Beach Classical Music Festival, and Iguazú en Concierto in Argentina. I have also performed at major venues including Carnegie Hall in New York and Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

My musical achievements include the Creative Achievement Award and Performance Exhibition Award from The Pennsylvania State University in 2024, being a finalist in the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra Concerto Competition, and receiving second place in the Orquestra Instituto Pão de Açúcar Concerto Competition.

Throughout my musical training, I have participated in masterclasses with distinguished musicians and ensembles including the Dover Quartet, Benjamin Beilman, Jeff Thayer, the Eybler Quartet, and Nathan Amaral.

As a teacher, my goal is to help each student develop strong technique, musical understanding, confidence, and a genuine enjoyment of playing music. Whether a student is beginning their musical journey or looking to further develop their skills, I strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment where they can grow as musicians.

Teaching Style

My teaching approach combines technical precision, musical expression, and individualized instruction. Every student is different, so I adapt each lesson to the student’s current level, goals, learning style, and musical interests.

My lessons are structured around the individual student’s level and goals. We typically begin with warm-ups and technical exercises, followed by work on scales, etudes, and repertoire appropriate to the student’s development. I emphasize proper posture, bow technique, intonation, rhythm, tone production, and musical expression. Lessons may also include sight-reading, music theory, and performance preparation when appropriate. I encourage students to ask questions and actively participate in their learning so they can gradually become independent musicians.

My experience teaching private lessons since 2019, along with my experience teaching undergraduate violin and music theory at The Pennsylvania State University, has taught me the importance of patience, clear communication, and individualized instruction.

Whether a student is learning the violin for the first time, preparing for an audition or performance, or seeking to develop more advanced skills, I tailor lessons to their individual needs. My goal is not only to help students become better violinists, but also to help them become independent, confident, and expressive musicians.
