Leopolina Duranovic
About
Hey there! I'm Leopolina, and I live and breathe music production. If you’ve ever felt like pulling your hair out because your DAW isn't cooperating, I completely get it—I’ve been there, and I’m here to help you beat that learning curve.
My background is a mix of deep technical training and a ton of hands-on teaching. I am currently finishing up my Bachelor’s degree in Music Production at Berklee Online, I hold an official Audio Masterclass Certification in Music Production and Sound Engineering (class of 2022), and I am a certified Pro Tools Professional. On top of the gear side of things, I have 7 years of experience teaching online. That means I know exactly how to make virtual lessons feel smooth, fun, and completely worth your time—no awkward tech lags or confusing lectures here.
Teaching Style
Music technology should be a tool that sets your creativity free, not a roadblock that stops your session cold. My teaching style is super casual, patient, and 100% focused on what you want to create.
I don't just show you what buttons to press; I teach you the "why" behind the music. Because of my years in online classrooms, I’m great at breaking down intimidating concepts—like complex signal routing, mixing workflows, and gain staging—into simple, practical steps. We will work directly inside your sessions at your own pace, turning those frustrating trial-and-error moments into effortless workflows.
No matter where you are on your audio journey, we can jump in and level up your skills. Book a session with me for:
Emergency DAW Fixes: Routing glitches, playback engine errors, and plugin issues gone for good.
Pro Tools Mastery: Learning the shortcuts, workflows, and secrets the pros use to move fast.
Mixing & Sound Engineering: Getting your tracks to sound clean, punchy, and commercial.
Studio Setups: Making sure your interface, mics, and software are actually talking to each other correctly.
Curriculum
My lessons are 100% interactive, hands-on, and tailored to your specific projects. I don't do boring lectures or make you sit through long slide presentations. Instead, we use real-time screen sharing and high-quality audio streaming so we can look at your DAW together.
A typical session looks like this:
The Tech Check: We make sure your system, interface, and software are running perfectly.
Goal Setting: We look at exactly what you are trying to achieve with your track or your mix or DAW you are trying to learn.
Live Collaboration: We work directly inside the software, turning knobs, routing tracks, and mixing in real time.
Actionable Next Steps: You leave every single lesson with a clear, step-by-step game plan of what to practice or fix before our next meeting.
You do not need to buy any expensive books before our first session! I prefer to teach using practical, real-world examples. However, if you love structure and want to read along with our lessons, I highly recommend:
For Pro Tools Users: The official Avid Pro Tools 101: Pro Tools Fundamentals I and Pro Tools 110: Pro Tools Fundamentals II courseware textbooks.
I will also provide custom cheat-sheets, signal-flow diagrams, and shortcut guides during our lessons so you always have a quick-reference tool by your side.
