About

Hi! My name is Annie. I’m a professional vocalist, actor, and musical theatre instructor with over 20 years of vocal training and performance experience. I began studying voice at age six and have trained extensively in musical theatre, classical and contemporary vocal styles.

I received my BFA in Acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University, studied Musical Theatre at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and graduated from Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA) as a dual major in Musical Theatre and Vocal Performance, with an emphasis in opera. Professional highlights include singing backup for Josh Groban at Walt Disney Concert Hall, performing with Slash at the House of Blues, and performing at the 2026 Catalina Jazz Festival.

Teaching Style

My experience spans musical theatre, pop, rock, jazz, R&B, soul, gospel, folk, and classical music. Whether you want to strengthen your mix, develop a powerful and sustainable belt, expand your range, improve your riffs and runs, prepare for an audition, or just feel more confident singing, I tailor my coaching to each individual singer and their goals. I work with students preparing for professional auditions, studio work, college programs, full productions, and students who just want to sound better at karaoke or singing in the shower. All are welcome

My approach is also informed by my Voice & Speech training, including Linklater, Fitzmaurice Voicework, Roy Hart and Alexander Technique. Rather than treating our voice as separate from the rest of the body, I teach students to use breath, body awareness, intention, and resonance to access a voice that feels freer, stronger, more expressive, and more sustainable.

I can help students with:

- Mixing and belting
- Expanding vocal range
- Breath support and stamina
- Resonance, tone, and vocal power
- Riffing and contemporary vocal styles
- Musical theatre and storytelling through song
- Audition and self-tape preparation
- College audition preparation
- Song interpretation and performance
- Building confidence and discovering your individual sound

I currently teach musical theatre for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District and work professionally as an actor, vocalist, and intimacy coordinator for film, television, and theatre.

I don’t want my students to try to sound like someone else. My goal is to help each student discover what makes their voice special and give them the confidence to utilize it fully.

I keep it fun, supportive, personalized, and professional. It brings me immense joy to watch students grow in confidence and find their unique voice.
