Sam Hudock

Sam Hudock is an oboist and educator in the Cleveland area. They received a bachelor’s degree in Music Education and a bachelor’s degree in Oboe Performance, both from Baldwin Wallace University, where they studied with Jeffery Rathbun and Johanna Cox-Pennington. They are also a licensed teacher in the state of Ohio, with active credentials in K-12 music. 

Sam has experience teaching students from many backgrounds and experiences, spanning from school-aged beginners to avocational adults looking to reconnect with music. Sam’s teaching philosophy in both the classroom and in private lessons is centered around developing a holistic worldview, using music as a tool to explore and communicate.

Sam is an active performer in the area, working with the Cleveland Pride Band in their wind ensemble and chamber groups, as well as performing in pit orchestras for community theatres throughout North East Ohio.

Sam’s teaching philosophy in both the classroom and in private lessons is centered around developing a holistic worldview, using music as a tool to explore and communicate.
