I’m Siri, the founder of Handmade by Siri, a creative business I established in McKinney, Texas, in 2024. I specialize in beginner-friendly crochet, loom knitting, and mixed-media crafts, with a teaching approach centered on clear demonstrations, patient guidance, and projects that help students build confidence while creating something they can finish and enjoy.

In October 2025, I taught a sold-out pressed-flower art workshop for 15 participants at the Frisco Heritage Center in Frisco, Texas. I have also planned and taught beginner-friendly creative workshops for adults, children, families, and community groups in the North Texas area. My classes have included crochet basics, loom knitting, pressed-flower art, tote painting, seasonal crafts, and other accessible creative projects.

I also teach through my Handmade by Siri YouTube channel, which has grown to more than 2,500 subscribers. My step-by-step tutorials include “How to Loom Knit an Ear Warmer,” which has received more than 70,000 views, and “How to Cast Off a Hat,” which has received more than 61,000 views. Through these tutorials and my live workshops, I have experience explaining techniques visually, breaking projects into manageable steps, identifying common beginner difficulties, and helping students correct mistakes without feeling discouraged.

My crochet and loom-knitting lessons are designed for complete beginners, returning learners, and makers who need help understanding a technique or completing a particular project. Students can book support with crochet basics, loom setup, casting on and off, stitch techniques, pattern questions, project troubleshooting, and small guided projects.

I am an experienced crochet and loom-knitting artist who has created many different projects, including hats, ear warmers, pumpkins, bags, coasters, garments, accessories, and amigurumi. I also plan and teach beginner-friendly creative workshops for adults and children.

I share step-by-step craft tutorials through my Handmade by Siri YouTube channel, which has grown to more than 2,500 subscribers. My loom-knitting tutorials have helped thousands of viewers learn techniques such as making ear warmers and finishing hats.

My teaching style is patient, friendly, and practical. I demonstrate each technique slowly, explain it in simple language, and give students time to practice before moving forward. Students can bring a project, pattern, or tutorial they are struggling with, and we will identify the problem and work through it together.

I encourage questions and repeat demonstrations whenever needed. My goal is to create a relaxed learning environment where beginners feel comfortable making mistakes, asking for help, and gaining the confidence to continue crafting independently.
