Hi, I am Matias Laborde, professional percussionist with an active international career in performance, teaching, and artistic direction based in Argentina. I have a wide international experience both as an education and as a teacher. As you can see from my background I am quite enthusiast about learning myself and I enjoy my free time between composing and creating arduino devices for music performance.

A little bit about me:
Currently:
-Artistic Director of the Patagonia International Percussion Festival (since 2024)
-Percussion of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Bahía Blanca (since 2016)
-Adjunct Professor at the Educational Department at Universidad Nacional del Sur (since 2017)

Alongside my university teaching, I have worked with music institutions across Europe and Latin America, including:

+National Superior Institute of the Arts (Argentina)

Academic Background

I hold two Master’s degrees from the Hochschule für Musik Basel (Switzerland):
+Master in Performance
+Master in Pedagogy

Additionally, I earned two Bachelor’s degrees in Argentina (Performance and Music Education) and pursued further studies in Sound Design and Sound Art.

Artistic Project
