About

My name is Danilo, and I am a dedicated performing musician and guitar instructor with 17 years of playing experience. My journey with the guitar started at age nine, and over the past nearly two decades, I have turned a passion for the instrument into extensive experience on stage, in the recording studio, and in the teaching room. My learning experience came from a private music school in Serbia called "Melodies", where I have had the chance to learn from three different guitar teachers. They all have different teaching styles and I have had the pleasure of learning from all of them.

Currently, I perform live as an active guitarist across multiple bands covering vastly different musical styles. My original band is called "Promonael". The band was formed in 2022 in Novi Sad, Serbia. Since then we have won many awards across festivals all over Serbia, including "Zajecarska Gitarijada", one of the biggest guitar festivals. We have recorded and produced many songs over the years. Our latest release on youtube is called "Rock the Balkan Groove". Aside from that I am also currently performing as the lead guitarist in three different cover bands. This constant real-world experience directly shapes how I teach. I do not just teach abstract music theory from a textbook; I teach you the practical, real-world skills needed to make your guitar sound great, stay in time, and feel natural under your fingers.

Over the years, I have taught students both in-person and online, working with complete beginners picking up their first instrument as well as experienced players looking to push past technique plateaus. I started out giving lessons to kids at the music school I went to and the parents were really satisfied with my teaching, so I decided to expand and start teaching online. I started teaching online in 2021, and I have been teaching ever since. Having played across diverse genres, with a special focus on rock and heavy metal, I know how to adapt my approach to fit your unique learning style and musical taste.

When you learn with me, you can expect a reliable, structured, and patient environment. I pride myself on clear communication, punctual communication, and absolute commitment to your growth as a musician. Whether your goal is to learn your favorite riffs at home or build the confidence to step on stage, I am here to guide you step-by-step with proven methods that yield real results.

Teaching Style

My teaching style is interactive, encouraging, and tailored entirely around the student's individual musical goals. Having played guitar for 17 years and performing regularly with active live bands, I focus heavily on practical application. I believe learning the guitar should be fun and music-first, so we skip dry, repetitive exercises and apply fundamental mechanics directly to the songs, riffs, and genres you love.

In our lessons, I place a strong emphasis on clean fretboard technique, rhythmic precision, hand positioning, and tone development. I aim to create a supportive environment where complete beginners feel comfortable building their foundation step-by-step, while intermediate players receive actionable feedback to break through speed, technique, or soloing plateaus. Every session ends with clear practice targets, custom tab breakdowns, and recommended backing tracks so you always know exactly what to focus on during the week.

Curriculum

My instruction blends ear training, fretboard visualization, and physical technique mechanics. I focus on developing clean picking, finger independence, and proper posture right from the start to prevent bad habits. For rock and heavy metal players, I incorporate specialized coaching on palm-muting precision, tight rhythm execution, lead soloing techniques, and dialing in software plugins or physical gear. For students exploring other genres, we focus on chord chemistry, rhythm dynamics, and song structure.

For students who prefer structured physical books or theory reference guides, I recommend:

Hal Leonard Guitar Method (Book 1 & 2) for beginners building fundamental sight-reading and chord knowledge.

Speed Mechanics for Lead Guitar by Troy Stetina for intermediate to advanced rock/metal players focusing on articulation and velocity.

Custom guitar tab software files (Guitar Pro / PDF formats) provided directly after each session.
