Danel Texidor

Hi, I’m Danel! I’m a piano and guitar instructor with over five years of teaching experience, working with students of different ages, skill levels, and musical goals.

Throughout my teaching career, I have taught through multiple music schools and studios and am now currently teaching at Rose Academy of Performing Arts, giving me experience working with a wide variety of students and learning styles. I’ve had the opportunity to help beginners take their very first steps in music as well as work with developing musicians who want to strengthen their technique, musicianship, and confidence. I graduated at Seminole State College and have profited with multiple jazz bands from Orlando to Key West, Florida.

I believe learning an instrument should be both rewarding and enjoyable. Every student comes to lessons with a different reason for wanting to make music, whether that’s playing their favorite songs, developing a lifelong skill, improving their musical knowledge, or becoming a more confident musician.

My goal as a teacher is to meet each student where they are and give them the tools, encouragement, and musical foundation they need to succeed. Seeing a student finally play something they once thought was impossible is one of my favorite parts of teaching.

My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and highly personalized. After more than five years of teaching students in different schools, studios, and private lesson settings, I’ve learned that there is no single approach that works for everyone.

I adapt lessons to each student’s age, experience level, learning style, interests, and goals. I want my students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes while also being challenged to continually improve.

For both piano and guitar, I focus on developing well-rounded musicianship. Depending on the student, lessons may include technique, note reading, chords, rhythm, music theory, ear training, sight-reading, improvisation, musical expression, and performance skills.

I also believe students are much more motivated when they’re excited about what they’re playing. Whenever possible, I incorporate songs and musical styles the student enjoys while still making sure we’re developing the fundamental skills they need to progress.

Above all, I want students to leave each lesson feeling accomplished, encouraged, and excited to keep playing.
