About

Born in Ukraine and now based in northeast England, Lena Archbold is an internationally recognized felt artist, educator, and founder of the Felt With Lena Club. She discovered feltmaking in 2011 while recovering from leukemia, finding healing through color and texture. Inspired by that experience, Lena developed her own safe and innovative approach to feltmaking, which she now shares with students around the world.

Specializing in fine wearable felt and innovative nuno felting techniques, Lena is known for her vibrant use of color, rich textures, and creative use of leftover fibers and fabrics. Through her online courses, international workshops, and the Felt With Lena Club, she has built a welcoming global community of feltmakers. Lena has also written for Felt Matters and FELT magazines and presented the solo exhibition Felting Connections. Her work encourages artists to experiment boldly, create with confidence, and discover the limitless possibilities of feltmaking.
