Bruce McBeth
About
A dedicated teacher inspiring players to reach their musical dreams with artistic growth in string playing, chamber music, and composing. Experienced with all ages, especially through the Suzuki method, highlighting fun and personal growth for every student.
Having played professionally for many years as a symphony, chamber, opera and ballet musician, I have always enjoyed passing on my love of music to the next generation. Many of these new stars have made music as part of their careers, sometimes as professional musicians or music as an accompaniment to their professional lives.
A little about Teacher Bruce ⭐️
I received my Master's degree in Performance from the University of Nevada-Reno (2001), my home town, which gave me numerous opportunities to play professionally for several performing arts groups within the city. I was a member of the Reno Philharmonic, Reno Chamber Orchestra, Reno Opera and Reno Ballet (1980-2019). These were wonderful classical opportunities that led to even more fun connections to play with famous Jazz, Pop and Alternative groups that would visit Reno and Lake Tahoe and I was fortunate to be asked to be part of their traveling groups. I also traveled to play with the Sacramento Symphony and played yearly with the Mendocino Music Festival. I even made recordings as an Irish fiddler and some cool back tracks with county great Merle Haggard.
While performing, I also taught privately in my personal studio as well as using my Suzuki teacher training as an instructor at Brookfield Academy for 4 years teaching over 100 children from Kindergarten through 4th grade.
Teaching Style
* Fun and laid back approach without losing sight of proper technique.
* Individual student's personal growth in music being the most important goal.
* Attention rates at very high levels with desire to practice and making a music part of the student's life.
