Sara Ieffa
About
Buongiorno! I'm Sara, a native Italian teacher based in Berlin, where I teach Italian at the University of the Arts (UdK) specifically for classical singing students. I have more than 20 years of experience teaching Italian across various institutions, in both individual and group settings. I hold a degree in Italian Literature, a Diploma in Classical Singing, and the Ditals I Certification for teaching Italian as a foreign language. I am specialized in two main areas:
For Language Learners:
Whether you are a complete beginner or want to improve your conversational skills, I will guide you step-by-step through engaging, communicative, and practical lessons tailored to your goals.
For Opera Singers & Musicians: I will help you achieve natural-sounding Italian pronunciation for your upcoming auditions, recitals, and performances. Together, we will work on open and closed vowels, double consonants, phrasal legato, and the dramatic interpretation of libretti. Just tell me which aria or scene you want to focus on for your next lesson, and we will refine your phrasing and diction word by word.
Teaching Style
As a language teacher, I like to think of myself as a gardener. My mission is to create the ideal environment for my students to thrive. In my lessons, you will always find a friendly, stress-free atmosphere combined with tailored support to help you achieve your personal goals.
Curriculum
We will work with different materials based on your interests and inclinations. We'll use language books, literature, librettos, songs, images, authentic texts, audios or videos from the internet.
