Will Geraldo
About
I’m Will, an audio engineer and music producer based in São Paulo, with over 20 years of professional experience in studios, broadcast and post-production. I trained at SAE Institute London and hold a Master’s degree in Audiovisual Media and Processes from the University of São Paulo.
I’ve worked with artists such as Djavan, Wynton Marsalis, Steve Hackett, Dom Salvador Trio, Fernanda Porto and Paulinho da Viola. I run my own studio, Cantara Lab, where I mix and produce for independent artists and work on sound for broadcast and film.
Teaching Style
Practical, direct and built around your own music. I teach the reasoning behind each decision, not just the settings, so you can repeat the process on any project. I give clear, honest feedback in a relaxed atmosphere, and I adapt the pace to your level, from first mix to working professionals. My goal is for you to reach professional results faster and with confidence.
Curriculum
Method: you bring a session and we work on it together in real time. I start with a quick diagnosis of your mix and your goals, then we go step by step through balance, EQ, compression, space and depth, and automation. After each lesson you get a short exercise to apply on your own, and we review it in the next class.
