About

I am a composer for film and television and a film scoring adjunct professor at the University of Miami's Frost School of Music. As a composer with Bleeding Fingers Music, I have contributed additional music to Netflix's Dept. Q, Griselda, and Fight for 84, Warner Bros.' Hacks (seasons 1-5), and Apple TV+'s Lessons in Chemistry, the Emmy winner for Outstanding Music Composition for a Limited Series. As an orchestrator, I have worked on more than 20 studio titles, including Prime Video's The Greatest, Netflix's Terminator Zero, and Universal's Speak No Evil.

I hold a BM in Classical Composition from Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music and an MM in Media Scoring and Production from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. I am a member of both the Television Academy and the Recording Academy.

I teach privately online, to a small number of students at a time: film scoring, composition, orchestration, music theory, and music production, working in Cubase, Logic, and Pro Tools, and Sibelius, Finale, and Dorico for notation. My work is with students who are committed to long-term study — working professionals sharpening their craft, and students preparing portfolios for top music programs. I do not pitch or recruit students; inquiries come from students looking for this kind of sustained work. Lessons are $150 for 60 minutes. That rate is set deliberately, to keep the roster small and focused on serious, long-term students rather than volume.

Teaching Style

Every lesson is built around your own music. We work directly on your cues, scores, and portfolio pieces, and build the craft underneath them — harmony, counterpoint, orchestration, and production workflow. I teach in Cubase, Logic, and Pro Tools, and in Sibelius, Finale, and Dorico for notation. Expect honest, specific feedback and clear assignments between lessons, so each session picks up exactly where the last one left off. I take on a small roster of students who are prepared to study consistently over the long term, and I keep availability limited to that roster.

Curriculum

Lessons are held online, one-on-one. Before we start, we talk through your goals — a portfolio for school applications, a score you are preparing, or specific skills you want to build — and shape a plan around them. Sessions are project-based and hands-on: bring your work in progress, and we revise, orchestrate, and problem-solve together in real time. Recommended texts are chosen together based on your focus; for orchestration study we often work from Adler's The Study of Orchestration and Rimsky-Korsakov's Principles of Orchestration. Because the roster is small, new students are accepted only when there is an opening and the goals and commitment are a fit for long-term study.
