Matías Iturra Reyes

Hi! My name is Matías Iturra and I have 17 years of experience teaching music and specially bass guitar. I studied a Music Degree at Universidad de Valparaíso and a Master for teaching on higher education at Universidad Andrés Bello, Chile. I have played for musicians like Marty Friedman (Megadeth) and Paul Gilbert (Racer X, Mr.Big), Alan Reale (Los Jaivas), Daniela Aleuy, Pamela Oyarzún, and many others. I`ve shared stage with notorious chilean bands like Angel Parra Trío, All Tomorrows, Claudio Valenzuela Trío, Rama, Crisálida and others. Actually I´m working as a session recording musician and giving private lessons for students interested on bass guitar, harmony and music theory.

I teach to students that don´t have any experience and for experienced bass players who want to develop and learn certain topics, any level at bass is welcome!

My lessons cover the fundamentals of bass technique and the ear training and theoretical tools you need to play confidently. All the techniques and topics are covered with extracts of bass repertoire to ensure that you learn properly.
