Alex Pashoian Raven

Hi, my name is Alex Pashoian, and I live in Somerville, Massachusetts. I've been playing guitar for 26 years and 21 years professionally, and I have taught private guitar lessons for the past 20 years. I obtained my two-year certificate from Berklee College of Music in 1991. I specialize in blues and blues rock. For over 20 years I have played in many bands and ensembles professionally as a lead guitarist and singer and have also performed as a solo artist and in duos.

Currently I play professionally with my band Raven Blues.

My teaching style is laid back yet focused and goal oriented.

I develop my lesson programs around the individual student so what he or she is interested in and want to learn are a large part of the set of goals and help to guide the lesson.

Material included in the programs I set up for my students are learning chords, scales, lead and rhythm techniques, solos, improv, theory of chords, scales and modes, ear training, chord chart reading, and answering any questions my students have to the best of my ability.

I excel at playing and teaching in all types of blues music and the music derived from the blues. I am also highly qualified in teaching all forms of blues rock music.

I teach electric guitar students and acoustic guitar students.
