About

Ali Ramsaier has had music in her life since she was in the crib. She has performed professionally in the musical theater world, and she has studied in several universities for musical theater, jazz, pop, blues, and R&B. Since the age of 16, she has been selected to sing as a guest soloist for venues such as Spivey Hall, Georgia World Congress Center, and Georgia Tech Hotel Conference Center. Ali has also sung for many movies and recordings, recently recorded a demo for David Foster, Barbra Streisand, and Andrea Bocelli, and toured as a pianist for The Women of Ireland, and has performed with many notable Broadway stars in NYC (Nancy Opel, Tituss Burgess, Quentin Earl Darrington, and Stafford Arima). She is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and earned her BM in Music Business and Vocal Performance cum laude studying under Magi Scott, Jeff Ramsey, Jerome Kyles, Carolyn Escoffrey, Donna McElroy, Livingston Taylor, Joan Lader, and Charlie Sorrento. Ali has also worked with Debra Byrd (American Idol and The Voice Vocal Coach) in writing and publishing a textbook on Vocal Technique for Musician's Institute in California.

Ali is also known for playing piano. She received her minor in Piano Performance within a year at Shorter College under Helen Ramsaur. She has been playing since she was five years old and has accompanied many people and musical productions.

Some of Ali's major influences include:

Linda Eder, Aretha Franklin, Jennifer Hudson, Lena Horne, Judy Garland, Whitney Houston, Billie Holliday, Lara Fabian, and Barbra Streisand

Teaching Style

I teach how a student wants to learn. There is a reason why each student wants to pick up an instrument. I evaluate and discuss goals and form a curriculum under what he or she wants, so while one student has structure and books, another may have lead sheets and create his or her own music. You have to spark creativity to have results in success.

Curriculum

Pending on the subjects, I provide the materials with worksheets, lessons plans or books to use.
