Amy Cherette

Hi! I am a professional Audio Engineer living in San Francisco, CA. I am a graduate of the SAE Institute of Technology in San Francisco. I studied Audio Engineering and Music Production. I specialize in all things digital. Including Ableton, Pro Tools, and Logic. I also specialize in mixing, mastering, sampling, sequencing, MIDI, and recording techniques. I specialize in DJ training specifically while using Ableton live to create a template to play shows and your productions out live. I have several years of experience in the field. I have toured playing shows and I have released my own productions on a few different record labels.

I was valedictorian of my class at SAE institute and the recipient of the Tom Misner Opportunities Scholarship. Additionally, I have a bachelor's in Psychology from Western Michigan University.

I love audio and making music. I also like to DJ and have played DJ shows all over the United States. One of my most noteable gigs was opening for Passion Pit. If you are looking to get started wtih DJ'ing in Ableton, I am more than happy to help you.

My teaching approach is different with each student. I will find an approach that works with your learning style. I like to have a good balance of both technical methods of music production paired with creative methods of music production.

I am able to teach you anything from the very beginning basics of using DAWs to intricute sampling, mixing and production methods.

If you are a beginner and have no experience I will teach you everything you need to know to get started.

If you have experience but are looking to learn something more specific I can teach you what you want to learn more about. Whether it may be something like sidechaining, sampling techniques, synthesis, step sequencing, mixing techniques, or how to EQ properly, I am specalized in all areas of audio production and can help you get to where you want to be.
