Announcing the Teachers of the Year for 2023!
|
As 2023 draws to a close, we are thrilled to honor our Teachers of the Year. Great teachers inspire us to be our best, by not only imparting their expertise, but motivating us to put in the hard work that it takes to become skilled, and being patient with us along the way. We are so grateful to all of the excellent teachers who share their energy via Lessonface.
Our Overall Teacher of the Year for 2023, Alison Ervin, is extraordinary in the breadth of her knowledge and teaching capability. In 2023, she taught lessons on over 20 instruments - from glockenspiel to U Bass - to over 100 students. All her reviews were five-stars out of five.
As one of her reviewers wrote, "With five members of my family taking lessons you would think that one of us would be bound to just not click with the teacher. This was not even close to the case in fact it was polar opposite. Every single person LOVED both the lesson and the teacher and highly look forward to future lessons."
Huge congrats, Alison, and thank you for being a part of Lessonface!
We reached out to the students of six of the seven top teachers (Alison Ervin, overall; Erika Andres, flute; Brad Ward, electric guitar; Derek Gonzales, acoustic guitar; Esther Howard, violin; and Aubrey Lauren, singing) to ask if they would like to share their congrats, and have compiled the responses which they confirmed we could share publicly above (the entire set of congrats we'll be sharing directly with the teachers today). Our Teacher of the Year for 2022, Beverly Cashin, continues to be at the top of the piano lessons category, one of our most popular instruments. Since we had asked her students just last year for their testimonials, we didn't send out the request again, but we will post the video from last year again below, as well as the unabridged and written public testimonials of these great students. Huge thanks to all who participated!
We recognize the following fantastic teachers as Teacher of the Year for their instrument or subject area.
