I love encouraging creativity and appreciation for art. Teaching is rewarding, especially seeing the growth of my students' skills & imaginations, and after giving private and small group art lessons for over 18 years, I enjoy it even more than when I first began!

Steve Swinburne was born in London, England. When he was 8, he left England with his family and sailed on the Queen Elizabeth to New York City. Steve holds a bachelor of arts degree in biology and English from Castleton State College, VT. He has worked as ranger in a number of national parks. He loves to travel and observe nature and wildlife.

I am a full time woodturner, teacher, artist and creative. I teach private lessons as well as virtual demos both nationally and internationally. For the last 5 years I've been one of the primary Woodturning instructors at the Craft Alliance School of Art and Design in St. Louis MO and have been an assistant instructor for Kirk DeHeer at the John C Campbell Folk School.

Today, Folkwear is based in Asheville, NC, under the leadership of Molly Hamilton. Molly learned to sew at a very young age, taught by her grandmother, a talented seamstress. Sarah Loudin Thomas grew up on a 100-acre farm in French Creek, WV, the seventh generation to live there. Her historical fiction is often set in West Virginia and celebrates the people, the land, and the heritage of Appalachia. Sarah is the director of Jan Karon’s Mitford Museum in Hudson, NC.

My name is Camille, I am 30 and have always been an absolute food lover ! I was born in Toulouse, I lived in Paris for 6 years and I recently moved to Nantes, a great city where I can be a full-time cooking teacher. I have been taught cooking by my grandmother and my mother at my youngest age.

Gardening host Bethany Joy Hebbard is a knitter, sewist, and dyer. Her husband is a permaculture-trained farmer, and together they keep a large garden on their suburban homestead in Jamestown, North Carolina. Bethany has a strong love of local fibers and dye traditions, and teaches classes on cultivating dye plants, fresh-leaf indigo, and more.

Jo Troll, an aroace trans art-maker and creative coach, has studied Irish dance with Kieran Jordan since they were 11 years old. They are experienced in a variety of percussive dance techniques including sean-nos, Irish step, Appalachian clogging, body percussion, and rapper sword dance, and hold a graduate diploma in dance studies from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Dance.

Melissa farms her own sheep and hand dyes the wool for her artistic projects that have been showcased in and out of the state. She has taught needle felting 6 years in other venues.
