Columbus born and raised, teaching music to students of any age for over 25 years. Started teaching after my high school band teacher put me in charge of the drum section of our school band. This helped form my love for directing and helping others learn new ways of playing these instruments. I haven't stopped since!

Jared Smith is a professional drummer, percussionist, programmer and educator. Through many years of study and playing, Jared has fused together the artistry of “old school” grooves and sounds, with the energy of the newest music. Combining these styles creates an enjoyable sound that is classic and new at the same time.

Justin Douté is a drum, classical percussion, hand drumming, and basic piano instructor. He attended the Denver School of the Arts for Music and the Manhattan School of Music. Ziya Tabassian began playing the tombak (Iranian drum) at the age of ten. After a brief initiation period in Iran, he continued his autodidactic training in Quebec, his adopted homeland. From 1994 to 2001, he studied classical Western percussion with Julien Grégoire and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in interpretation from the Université de Montréal.

I have been involved with Drums and Music since 1995. A lifelong student myself, I am deeply passionate about learning, exploring and sharing the amazing world of Percussion with my students and peers. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Music from Western Washington University in 2006, and since then I have performed extensively across the country in clubs, theaters and festivals.
