I love playing the flute and getting to share what I know about flute and music with my students. I have experience teaching in both group and private settings and I like to give my students opportunities to perform throughout the year.

My journey to being a music teacher started when I was two and would play on the old rotor organ my parents had saved from being dumped by our church. I took formal lessons from age 8 to 18, and then in college for another 3 years. My primary instruments are piano adn flute, and I am well versed in most types on music.

I enjoy helping students build confidence on the clarinet while developing strong fundamentals and healthy technique. I tailor each lesson to each student, focusing on developing a clear tone, effective practice habits, and overall musical growth.

In 2016, I received my Bachelor's Degree from the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan in Clarinet Performance and Master's Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2019. I'm a woodwind player specializing in many reed instruments and flutes. I play saxophone, clarinet, duduk, aulos, pivana, hichirki, xiao, and several other instruments. I have studied from some of the best instrumentalists in these instruments and would be happy to share my knowledge to people interesting in learning the instruments I play.

I am a well-known Hindustani vocalist and flutist with over 10 years of experience in performing and teaching both flute and vocal music. I received my vocal training under renowned Hindustani classical gurus, including Pt. Ramachandrappa Uppar, and studied flute under distinguished maestros such as Pt. Govindraj Bommalapur and Pt. Ambanna Kopparad.

Maxwell Alemán is a conservatory-trained violist and music educator with international training in both performance and pedagogy. He earned his BM in Music Education and Viola Performance (summa cum laude) from Ithaca College, where he served as the exclusively approved music theory tutor for all compulsory Bachelor-level theory courses.

Composer, Saxophonist and Clarinetist Juan Ruiz began his musical studies when he was 11, studying Latin American percussion in his hometown of Caldas Antioquia, Colombia. At age 14, he began clarinet studies at the University of Antioquia's preparatory music school. He left Colombia in 2006 with a scholarship to study English and Music at Atlantic Union College, MA.

Kristi grew up in Lorain, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland. She began playing the flute in her school band in fifth grade but quickly found it unchallenging. By seventh grade, she wanted to quit band altogether, but her mother insisted she stay. Determined to make a change, Kristi switched to the oboe in eighth grade, playing on an old instrument with plastic reeds.
