Hi, I'm Warren Jones. I received my Masters in Music from Tufts University in 2001. With over 22 years of teaching experience, I've instructed students ranging from 4 to 74 years old. My teaching background is unique, ranging from private lessons with young children to graduate-level university courses.

I'm a classically trained flutist and piccolo player based in New York, currently serving as a member of the West Point Band. My performing career spans nationally-televised broadcasts, festival appearances including the 2025 New York Flute Club's Flute Fair, and touring with the American Wind Symphony Orchestra.

I have been teaching clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, and oboe for 40 years, having previously served on the adjunct faculty at The College of Idaho and Northwest Nazarene University. I am an active performer in the Portland, Oregon area as a member of several chamber ensembles, and previously having been the bass clarinetist with the Boise Philharmonic for over 20 years.

After starting the flute and piano at the age of 8, she knew she had found something she loved and wanted in her life forever. Ever since I heard my first performance of The Nutcracker at age 8, I knew I had to play flute. I attended some of the finest schools, including Interlochen Arts Academy and Peabody Conservatory, and studied with some of the greatest flutists and teachers. Through everything that life has thrown at me, music has been my constant.

I began studying the oboe 19 years ago and went on to earn a minor degree in Music Performance at the University of Illinois Springfield on a full music scholarship. My classical training gave me a strong foundation in technique, tone production, music reading, and disciplined practice habits—skills I now focus on passing along to beginners in a clear, encouraging way.

An internationally trained flutist, conductor, and music educator with extensive experience in performance and music teaching. Musical training began at a specialized music secondary school in Moscow, where a strong foundation in classical flute performance and ensemble playing was developed at an early age.
