Who am I? If you don't know yet, my name is Tatiana Thaele and I am the founder of The Flute Practice, an online hub of flute education that helps flutists from all over the world realize their dream of playing the flute. I have taught students from as young as 6 all the way to 89 on 6 different continents and one thing really stands out: music is deeply meaningful to people.

I have taught clarinet professionally since 1993. Most recently, I taught at Indiana State University for seven years, where I attracted a large studio. I have been a guest artist at the Clarinetissimo Festival at the National Conservatory in the Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic six times since 2017. This festival attracts highly notable clarinet artists from around the world.

I'm a graduate student at Michigan State University with 13 years of saxophone experience and 5 years of teaching music. I'm excited to help you achieve your musical goals and look forward to working with you! I’m a saxophonist and composer from the San Francisco Bay Area. I first picked up the saxophone at age 10 and started my music studies in middle school.

Hello! My name is Alanis Cartagena. I graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelor's in Music with flute as my main instrument, and a minor in Psychological Studies in Spring 2025. I have been playing the flute since I was 7 years old, and have played in different stages around Puerto Rico, New Orleans, New York, Chicago, and Texas.

I am a certified music educator. I have taught music in public schools for 11 years and private music lessons for 16 years. I received my M.A. in Music & Music Education from Teachers College, Columbia University and B.M. in Music Education from Ithaca College. I teach music full-time in public elementary schools and part-time online. I love teaching music so much that I do both!

I’m a flute/piano music teacher with over 10 years of experience, both as a performer and educator. With a Classical background education at conservatory of Habana plus my contemporary music education at Berklee College of Music I will be bale to achieve your musical goals while having fun jamming together.

Ian van Nuys is a woodwind specialist, with playing proficiency in saxophone, oboe, flute, and clarinet. His primary instrument is the saxophone, which he studied as part of Dr. Chien-Kwan Lin’s saxophone studio at Eastman School of Music. Before studying at Eastman, Ian studied saxophone with Mr.

Dr. Lauren Kinane (she/her) is a Long Island based clarinetist and educator. As a clarinetist she has performed with the Atlantic Wind Symphony, Sound Symphony Orchestra, the Stony Brook Contemporary Chamber Players, Pioneer Valley Symphony, the MezzoBlasto clarinet quartet, the UMass Amherst Faculty Winds, and the UMass Amherst Graduate Woodwind Quintet.

I'm Will, a professional oboist based in Chicago. I am currently in the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, and have recently appeared with the Peoria Symphony, Elgin Symphony, and Orchestra of St. Luke's in New York City. I am also a doctoral candidate for a DMA in Oboe at the Yale School of Music. I have a Master's of Music from Yale, and a Bachelor of Music from UCLA.
