Hi! I’m Deniz Yıldız — a progressive rock guitarist, live performer and solo artist from Turkey. I graduated from Akdeniz University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Music, and I’ve been actively performing, recording and teaching guitar for years.

Ryan Schindler is the Los Angeles Regional Director of the California Bluegrass Association and has helped many students though his weekly bluegrass jam, private lessons, and in writing books to help students progress quickly (i.e. The Golden Standard or Bluegrass Guitar - How to play Fast NOW). Ryan grew up in upstate New York playing in rock and jazz bands.

In that time, I've worked with students of almost every conceivable age and ability level on a wide variety of instruments (ukulele, guitar, bass guitar, banjo, harmonica, piano) and am here to help make your musical dreams come true.

I bring over 15 years of professional experience as a musician, writer, producer, and educator, with a strong foundation in both performance and mentorship. I began playing guitar at age 12 and quickly branched into other instruments, songwriting, and music production.

I've been playing guitar for over 15 years, and I still love it as much as the day I picked it up. I hold a music degree, but what I bring to lessons isn't just theory — it's a genuine passion for helping people find their sound, at their own pace, without the pressure. A graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Interdisciplinary Music Studies, I bring a well-rounded, real-world approach to teaching music—one that prioritizes creativity, intuition, and self-expression.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Rhode Island in 2024 with a Bachelor's in Music Education. I earned a K-12 Music Teaching Certification in Rhode Island in May of 2024. My primary instrument is violin and I performed with the University of Rhode Island Symphony Orchestra from 2021-2024 as well as with several chamber ensembles.
