About & Teaching Approach Alexey Samoylenko is a guitarist and educator with over a decade of experience performing, recording, and teaching. He began his formal music training at the Moscow College of Improvised Music (МКИМ) in 2010, where he studied contemporary and jazz guitar with a focus on ensemble performance.

Jon Dostou is a contemporary composer, arranger, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who has been making music on stages around the United States for many years. From 2018-2020 he served as the Music Director for Northern California's Premier Party Band, Superbad, headlining shows throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

I am a guitarist, composer, and educator with a career dedicated to performance, teaching, and musical creation. My academic background includes studies at Universidad El Bosque and a Master’s degree in Composition from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude. Throughout my career, I have worked in various areas of the musical field.

Jazz and rock guitarist Scott Burton loves teaching kids and adults, beginners and beyond, how to play and how to listen. He loves helping people discover new sounds and new ways of approaching music, all while learning fundamentals and songs they have a personal interest in.

Robert Chapman is a guitarist from Toronto, Ontario. As a teen, Robert completed his Grade 8 guitar studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music and also joined the Hamilton All Star Jazz Band, which awarded him a scholarship to attend Mohawk College’s music program. After graduating from Mohawk, he then completed his Bachelor’s of Music at Humber College in Toronto.

Ryan Hernandez began his musical training in Huntington Beach, California, guided by esteemed blues musician Walter Trout. Upon moving to New Jersey in 2010, Ryan was gradually exposed to the Tri-state jazz scene, becoming enamored with it. This passion led him to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center's jazz program and the New Jersey Youth Jazz Orchestra.
