For over 33 years as a musician and 29 years as an educator for all grade levels and teachers alike, I have the experience of learning from my previous students and applying more efficient techniques to current and future ones. Much like my students, I work towards learning the most innovative techniques while foreseeing the trends of the future in music and education.

I am a cellist, specialized in Tango, Argentine folklore, contemporary music and education. Cello teacher at the C. Guastavino conservatory in Buenos Aires, the province's orchestra and choir program and the city's "music for equity" program. Geno, life-long musician from Austin, Texas, grew up in the renowned 78704 zip code surrounded by some of Austin's most iconic musical legends like Rocky Erickson, Marcia Ball, and Jimmie and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Geno started playing piano and taking voice lessons at age seven and later attended Austin High School, playing tuba in band and orchestra.

Gwen Wahman has performed with such Jazz legends as Ron Carter, Elvin Jones and Frank Gant (more listed below) and in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Aaron Davis Hall, many NYC Jazz clubs and venues, Tavern on the Green and internationally.

Every student is a challenge for me. If it's a good student who has the desire and time to practice along with talent, it challenges me to switch on all the power of his nature and make him shine the shortest way possible. If a student doesn't have time to practice I always work on new exercises that could make a difference right away during a lesson.

I am a composer, arranger, and bassist who began my musical journey in 2010 at the Fernando Sor Music School, where I graduated in Music Production in 2014. I later pursued a degree in Composition at Universidad Central, graduating with honors in 2019, and completed a masters degree at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona, where I currently live.
