My goal is to inspire creativity, and a love for playing. I began playing the guitar at age 13. Classic rock bands such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and the Beatles, as well as blues guitarists Stevie Ray Vaughn and Eric Clapton, are my early musical influences. My love for music really bloomed when I started writing songs, and performing in bands in High School and College.

Hello! I am a professional music educator with 16 years of experience dedicated to making music an indispensable part of life rather than just a lesson. Throughout my career, I have mentored over 1,000 students individually, guiding hundreds of them to successfully enter Conservatories and Fine Arts High Schools. 🏆 My philosophy is simple: Music is loved first, then learned.

Bio: Jay Harootunian is a nationally touring artist with the Americana roots band Mojo Birds. His teaching background includes Adjunct Professor of Guitar at San Juan College, band coaching, artist development, and Songwriting Studio Online. He is also the founder of the Durango Sound Project and serves as the Vermont State Coordinator for Music Link.

I am a Chicago based guitarist, songwriter, content creator and musician. I studied and graduated from the GIT program at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. I have been playing guitar for over 20 years. I have over 10 years of teaching experience giving private guitar lessons and group lessons. I am passionate when it comes to playing guitar.
