My name is Kevin and I am a FINGERSTYLE EXPERT and have been a musician for over 30 years! I specialize in Fingerstyle Guitar, Classical Guitar, Standard and Fingerstyle Ukulele, Banjo, and Music Theory from beginning to advanced. I am also a content creator, have a youtube channel and a podcast on music theory.

I was hired as one of the youngest teachers at the National Guitar Workshop after completing their 3 year pedagogy program. I have a BA from Brown University. My best progress in my own 45 year+ musical journey has in fact come from private teachers, the most important one being Bill Connors, who played with Chick Corea.

I bring over 15 years of professional experience as a musician, writer, producer, and educator, with a strong foundation in both performance and mentorship. I began playing guitar at age 12 and quickly branched into other instruments, songwriting, and music production.

Originally from Fort Lauderdale Florida, Zico Chevy Hernandez hails from a long line of artists and musicians. His Father, a percussionist from Cuba, used to play percussive beats on his mother’s womb, inciting Zico to tap back. Throughout Zico’s life, Zico has studied a collection of musical instruments and genres, with a primary focus on percussion and guitar.

Growing up in Auburndale Florida, I has studied classical guitar for over 10 years earning a Bachelor's and Master's in guitar performance at Florida Southern College and Austin Peay State University. I has over two years experience teaching students proper technique, efficient practice, music theory, improv, classical training, and various other styles such as blues, jazz, rock…

My guitar journey began at the age of 12 with private lessons from several highly skilled and inspiring teachers, where I developed a strong foundation in technique, rhythm, and music theory.
