While working towards his long-time academic dream of becoming a psychiatrist, guitarist Lucas Coker has explored the depths of songwriting, cognitive psychology, world religions, organic chemistry, jazz theory, human decision-making, mind-body philosophy, evolutionary genetics... It is this unique universal perspective that breathes life into his music.

After graduating from Berklee in 1987 with a degree in Music Production & Engineering, I moved to NYC to help start the Sam Ash Music Institute. A year later, I moved to LA and began a 30+year career as a film and tv music composer, editor (Motion Picture Editors Guild), and audio engineer. I am based on the Malteese island of Gozo but I originate from South East London in the UK where I went to Sedgehill Comprehensive School the same school as the rock band ' Status Quo' who were older than me but went to the guitar club there. Sedgehill School has now been converted into a music academy due to the success of its music students.

Tim has been playing music at local venues and with local bands and musicians for 20 years, and has been teaching privately and for music studios and schools for 10 years. He fell in love with music at an early age and quickly picked up a variety of instruments including guitar and drums.
