Taylor graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors of Music from the University of Minnesota School of Music and a minor in Business Management from the Carlson School of Business.

He moved to St. Louis from Los Angeles, CA where he also taught music with a variety of non-profits and afterschool programs, including the Sir Charles Blues Lab with Ray Charles.
