Hey, I’m Joe! — Berklee College of Music guitar performance grad with over 30 years of stage and studio experience. I’ve played everything from smoky blues bars to festivals, and I still get the biggest rush watching a student nail their first solo or finally “hear” how theory actually works on the fretboard.

I am a musician, teacher, and producer from Tampa, Florida. Coming from a musical family, I took up trumpet at 10 years old playing in the school band. In the following years, I started teaching myself guitar. Being left-handed, my first experiences with the instrument were spent picking up my dad’s guitar and playing upside-down.

Ian began playing guitar around the age of ten when he got his first hand-me-down guitar from his older brother. At first he learned to play primarily by ear, learning songs from recordings that he loved, a skill that has proven invaluable to this day.

I did more then 2500 shows/gig in Europe in theaters, pubs, clubs, big and small stages. I have been playing guitar for over 30 years, and teaching for 28. Hailing from Santa Clara, CA, I was introduced to music and the arts at an early age. I was first introduced to music by my grandfather, who gave me multiple instruments to play. These instruments included mandolin, violin, harmonica, piano, drums, and guitar.
