John Marvin Scott is a multi-instrumentalist, improviser, musician, and educator. Obtaining his Bachelor's Degree in Jazz Performance/Composition from Capilano University in North Vancouver in 2022, John has established himself as one of Western Canada’s essential musicians and music educators.

Musician, bassplayer and educator with two decades experience in different facets of the music industry like: session and touring musician, (as a leader and as a side man in a variety of formats - solo player, duets, small and large ensembles). Different recording situations.

I’m an award-winning composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with 15+ years of experience in songwriting, music production, and performance. I’ve taught at NYU’s prestigious Songwriting and Contemporary Production Program and worked with artists from beginners to platinum-sellers, helping them refine their craft, find their voice, and reach their goals.

Hello! My name is Dana. I am a graduate of the esteemed University of Miami School of Music. I attended from 91-95 and have my bachelors degree in Studio Music and Jazz. I have been performing and teaching music in my own studio(Dana B Music) for more than 30 years.

About Me & My Teaching Approach Professional Background With over 30 years of professional performance and 25 years of teaching experience, my musical journey has spanned across Mexico, Canada, and Brazil. I am a multi-instrumentalist (Bass, Guitar, Piano, and Drums) and a composer currently preparing for an international performance contract with Disney.

Music Degree from Berklee College of Music 09’. Piano concentration with a bachelors in Electronic Production and Sound Design. Great with kids, but teaches students ranging from 6 to 96 years old. I specialize in teaching classical, jazz, rock, funk, R&B, reggae, ambient, and electronic music.
