Jennifer began learning the fiddle when she was 7 years old and had the incredible opportunity of learning from musical friends of her parents including; Michael Gorman, Fiddler Bob Beers and Alistair Bain. She played with the Berea College Country Dancers when she was in college and played for dances at the Folk School when she lived there in 1980-81.

National Old-Time Fiddle Champion Jesse Maw has been performing since age five, moving fluently through old-time, bluegrass, swing, Gypsy-jazz, fusion and beyond. He’s shared stages with icons such as Mark O’Connor, Jerry Douglas, Brent Mason and Gonzalo Bergara, and has coached at the Shasta Music Summit, Crown of the Continent Guitar Festival and DjangoFest NW.

Professional musician performing for over 40 years (Violin, Viola, Cello, Vocals). Teaching for 25 years. I play violin, viola, cello and sing. In addition to teaching, I'm currently performing with bands Athas, Dairyland's Finest String Band, Brewtown Brewgrass, and Blackthorn Folly.

Tara Shupe was raised playing traditional American Fiddle Music and Bluegrass. She began playing festival stages at 6 years old and toured the US and Europe playing mandolin and singing with the award winning youth bluegrass band String Fever starting in her teens, taking the stages of Telluride, Rockygrass, La Roche Festival in France, GreyFox, IBMA, and more.

Grounded firmly in Canada's longstanding Ottawa-valley fiddling tradition, Tom is an avid explorer of many musical genres, namely traditional & contemporary Irish, American fiddle, and jazz. Tom is a seasoned performer and an original member of the international touring band "The Fitzgeralds". He also tours frequently with Celtic group "Runa" across North America.

Welcome! My goal is to help you build (or enhance) a solid musical foundation while having fun and always finding the joy in music and learning! I have been teaching violin and voice privately for the last 10+ years alongside other parts of my career as a performer, educator, and creative aging specialist.

Initially trained as a classical violinist, my current passions include Southern Old-Time, Irish, French-Canadian Fiddle music and Klezmer. In June 2011, I became the first teacher in Washington State to be certified in the Mark O'Connor Violin Method, a developmental curriculum of American folk music for students of all levels.

I’m an internationally touring fiddler, composer, and teacher. I play styles ranging from Swing to Folk to Gypsy Jazz to Celtic and lots of other World musics. I'm a working musician, and have spent several years constantly on tour since graduating from the Berklee College of Music.
