I started playing clarinet in a very good public school band program. My high school band was good enough to perform at Yankee Stadium during the World Series in 1976. Upon graduating from high school in 1980 I attended Montclair State University where I studied clarinet, saxophone and flute, graduating in 1986 with a degree in music education.
